A Look Inside the Third Edition
2026 Update | ISBN 978-0-6455232-2-5
The third edition of Accidental SEO Manager is a major update (and renumbered to #2) in Ash Nallawalla’s Managing SEO series. Designed for marketing managers, business owners, and team leads who suddenly find themselves responsible for SEO, it explains how to manage SEO strategically — even if you’ve never been an SEO yourself.
This edition brings new sections on AI-era content strategy, SEO governance, and team-agency collaboration, making it an indispensable playbook for organisations serious about sustainable visibility.

Background
The Managing SEO series began as one comprehensive manuscript. My agent suggested a sharper title — Accidental SEO Manager — for the first release, aimed at those unexpectedly managing SEO teams or agencies.
Early readers (experienced managers but non-SEOs) found parts of the manuscript too technical. That feedback led to this four-book structure:
- Book 2 – Accidental SEO Manager : The management and leadership essentials.
- Book 3 – AI Visibility Playbook : Governing digital ecosystems in the AI era.
- Book 4– Is Our SEO Working? : The technical and analytical side of measurement.
- Book 5 – The C-Suite Blind Spot : Strategic alignment and executive accountability.
Together, they form a cohesive roadmap — from daily SEO operations to enterprise-level governance. There is a Book 1, called Managing SEO, but it is a summation of these four books for the busy reader.
